Gayle is a talented artist who immersed herself in the realms of art, design, and textiles during the 1970s at Geelong’s Gordon Institute of Technology in Victoria, Australia. Following an extensive career as a designer and graphic artist spanning both Australia and the Netherlands, she now dedicates her time primarily to painting on canvas.
Gayle’s artistic vision captures intriguing glimpses within landscapes, evoking untold stories and transforming them into serene yet powerful imagery. Her unique approach to applying colour and texture has garnered acclaim, resulting in high demand for her contemporary creations.
With exhibitions in Melbourne, Apollo Bay, and neighbouring regions, Gayle has garnered awards and amassed a collection of over 100 works cherished in private collections across Australia and abroad.
Andrew Strang is an Apollo Bay resident who took up photography in 1976, using a Fujica half-frame camera and color slide film. In about 1980 he upgraded to a Canon SLR, and began experimenting with reflection imaging (via the use of a two-way mirror), and transparency overlays.
He continued with slide film for about twenty years until going digital in 2003, and maintains a strong interest in reflection work, fine landscape details and metaphorical interpretation. Andrew has been exhibiting and selling work in Melbourne, Geelong and the Otways since 2011.
